The cost for crossing either the Mersey Gateway Bridge or Silver Jubilee Bridge varies depending on the vehicle you are driving.
Merseyflow is the brand name used to collect the road user charges for crossing the Mersey Gateway Bridge and the Silver Jubilee Bridge. The merseyflow toll/charge system is operated by emovis, an international free-flow tolling specialist appointed by Halton Borough Council (The Charging Authority) to implement the road user charge on both bridges.
Unfortunately, there are a small number of people – less than 0.5% of all customers – who don’t pay either their toll/charge fee on time or their penalty charge within 42 days of its service. It is only fair to the huge majority of people who pay on time that we collect the debt from people who persistently don’t pay.
At this stage, the debt is now handled by Newlyn PLC. Anyone receiving a Notice of Enforcement from Newlyn PLC will need to pay their debt to them, not to merseyflow.
